How Sensory Earth Intelligence Systems Ltd uses and protects your personal data when you visit seis.earth or write to us. There is also a short cookies section at the end: this site sets none.
01Introduction
Sensory Earth Intelligence Systems Ltd ("SEIS", "we", "us") takes your privacy seriously. This policy sets out how we use and protect your personal data when you visit our website, seis.earth, and when you write to us.
As the data controller, we are responsible for your personal data. We are a private company limited by shares, registered in England and Wales under company number 17473383, with our registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.
This policy covers seis.earth only. The GeoShake network, its website, apps, live map and data services at geoshake.org have their own privacy policy.
02What is personal data?
Personal data is any information about a person which identifies them.
03What personal data do we collect?
- Contact information - your name, email address and organization, and anything you choose to tell us, when you send us a message through one of the forms on this website or use one of its email links.
- Bot-protection signals - the forms on this website are guarded by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a message comes from a person and not from an automated script. To do so it processes limited technical signals from your browser and device, such as your IP address, browser characteristics and the fingerprint of the connection. It does not read what you type into the form.
- Technical information - when you visit the website, the servers that host it may record your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in standard server logs, which are used to keep the website secure and running.
We do not take payments through this website and do not collect financial data here. We do not collect sensitive data or data relating to children.
04How do we collect your personal data?
We collect this data when you interact with us through or using the website, in particular when you send us a message through one of its forms, when you send us correspondence, and in the technical logs and bot-protection checks described above.
05How and why do we use your personal data?
In accordance with data protection law, we can only use your personal data if we have a legal basis for doing so. We use personal data for the following reasons:
- So that we can respond to you, and discuss and provide our services, partnerships and information to you. Our legal basis for doing so is our legitimate interests or those of a third party, and the performance of any contract we have with you, or taking steps before entering into a contract with you.
- To help us ensure that the website is operating effectively and securely. Our legal basis for doing so is our legitimate interests or those of a third party.
06Marketing
We do not send promotional communications from this website and we do not operate a mailing list. If you have written to us, we may reply and follow up on that conversation. Should we introduce a newsletter or other marketing in future, we will only send it to people who have asked for it, every message will include a way to opt out, and opting out will not affect essential communications about services we are providing to you.
07Do we share personal data?
We only share personal data with service providers where necessary, each of which processes data on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts this website and provides the Turnstile bot-protection check on our forms.
- Appflows Teknoloji A.Ş. (Antalya, Türkiye), our product-engineering partner, which runs the message service behind the forms on this website: it receives what you send, keeps a copy in a dashboard we use to handle inquiries, and delivers the message to us by email. Appflows also operates the services of the GeoShake network.
- Formspree, Inc. (United States), a form-delivery service used only as a fallback if our message service is unavailable, which forwards your message to us by email.
- The provider of our email service.
We will get your express consent before we share your data with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
Where we share your personal data, we only do this where we are satisfied that the third party will take appropriate steps to protect your data and its use is limited to acting on our instructions.
We may need to share your personal data with legal and regulatory bodies if this is necessary for us to comply with the law or any applicable regulations.
08International transfers
Some of the providers listed above process data outside the UK: Appflows Teknoloji A.Ş. in Türkiye, and Cloudflare and Formspree in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards recognized by UK data-protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, or on a UK adequacy decision where one applies.
09Third-party links on this website
The website includes links to third-party websites and content, including geoshake.org, GitHub, LinkedIn, X and Discord. We have no control over these, so you should read the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
10Security and retention
We take the security of your data seriously and have put in place appropriate measures to protect it. We limit access to your personal data to only those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who need to know for business purposes, and they are subject to robust confidentiality obligations.
We only keep your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your inquiry and any relationship that follows from it, or until you withdraw your consent where consent is our legal basis for processing. Technical logs are kept for a short period only. Records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons, such as contracts, are kept for six years after our relationship with you has ended.

Cookies policy
15How we use cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. seis.earth itself does not set any cookies. It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, does not store anything on your device, and loads its fonts and images from its own servers rather than from third parties. The one exception is the bot-protection check on our forms: Cloudflare Turnstile runs inside a small frame served by Cloudflare and may store short-lived technical cookies within that frame, solely to complete the check. Cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for do not require consent, which is why there is still no cookie banner on this website.
